Scope/ Features

Medical record science, commonly referred to as health information management (HIM), is an essential area of study in the healthcare sector that deals with the administration, analysis, and interpretation of patient data. It entails gathering, organizing, and maintaining medical records and other information relevant to healthcare. This data may comprise, among other things, patient demographics, medical histories, diagnoses, test findings, and treatment plans.
The classification of disorders is one of the main tasks of medical record science. In order to give codes to medical illnesses and treatments, established medical coding systems like ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases, 10th revision) and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) are used. In addition to being utilized for research and statistical analysis, these codes are also used for invoicing and payment.
